Terms of Use — Unshelve It
Effective date: September 29, 2026 Last updated: September 29, 2026
1. Agreement to these Terms
Unshelve It (the "Service") is operated by Levantasoft Systems LLC, a Michigan limited liability company ("Levantasoft," "we," "us"). By accessing or using unshelveit.com, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. What the Service does
Unshelve It helps you decide which game to play next from the library you already own.
You create an account, may link your Steam account so we can sync that library, and may add games from other stores manually or by importing a file. We store that library on our servers so the Service can generate recommendations without re-querying Steam every time you visit. The Service suggests which of your own games to play — it does not sell, license, distribute, host, or provide access to any game.
The Service may change, add, or remove features at any time, including features you find useful.
3. Eligibility, and where the Service is offered
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
The Service is directed to users in the United States. It is offered in English, in United States dollars, and is not directed to or intended for users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. We do not market the Service in those territories and do not offer localized pricing, language, or support for them. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local law.
4. Your game libraries and connected accounts
We are not Valve. Unshelve It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Valve Corporation, Steam, or any game publisher or developer. "Steam" and "Valve" are trademarks of Valve Corporation. All game titles, artwork, logos, and related marks are the property of their respective owners. The same applies to any other storefront whose titles you add to your library.
You sign in to the Service with your email address. Linking a Steam account is optional and tells us which Steam library to sync; it does not grant us access to anything Steam does not already make public about you.
Your Steam privacy settings control what we can see. We retrieve your library only through Valve's public Steam Web API, and only when you ask us to. If your Steam profile game details are set to private, the Service cannot read your library and will not work. Changing that setting is your decision and your responsibility, and it makes that information visible to third parties generally — not only to us.
Games you add yourself. Titles from Epic, GOG, or elsewhere are added by you, manually or by import. We do not connect to those storefronts and cannot verify ownership. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for having the right to enter it.
We retrieve data about you only in response to your request to do so.
5. Third-party services and content
The Service depends on third parties we do not control, including Valve's Steam Web API and the IGDB API (a Twitch/Amazon service). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, or conduct.
Game artwork displayed in the Service is served directly from Steam, GOG, or IGDB content delivery networks and remains the copyright of its respective publisher. We do not claim any right in it.
Games metadata is powered by IGDB.com.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Access the Service by automated means — scraping, bots, crawlers — or attempt to extract its underlying data in bulk
- Connect or submit accounts belonging to other people in order to profile or surveil them
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or other usage restrictions
- Interfere with, overload, or attack the Service or the third-party APIs it depends on
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source of the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute output from the Service
We may rate-limit, suspend, or permanently block any user or IP address for any reason, including to protect our access to third-party APIs.
7. Your data
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
In summary: we store your email address, your Steam ID if you link one, the list of games you own, playtime and last-played figures, and any status, notes, or ratings you add. This data is stored on servers located in the United States.
You can get your data out, and you can delete it. The Service provides an export of everything associated with your account, and a delete function that removes it. Contact support@levantasoft.com if either does not work.
8. Intellectual property
The Service's software, design, text, and recommendation logic are owned by Levantasoft Systems LLC and protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Content owned by third parties — game titles, artwork, metadata, descriptions — remains theirs. Nothing here transfers any right in it to you.
9. Availability and changes
The Service is a personal project offered without any service level agreement. It may be unavailable, slow, incomplete, or discontinued at any time, without notice, permanently, including because a third-party API we depend on changes, throttles us, or revokes our access.
We may modify, suspend, or terminate the Service, or your access to it, at any time and for any reason.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL DATA PROVIDED THROUGH IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT GAME LIBRARY DATA, PLAYTIME FIGURES, METADATA, ARTWORK, OR RECOMMENDATIONS ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE. DATA ORIGINATES WITH THIRD PARTIES AND IS PRESENTED AS RECEIVED. RECOMMENDATIONS ARE AUTOMATED SUGGESTIONS AND NOTHING MORE.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEVANTASOFT SYSTEMS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR SAVED TIME, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER THEORY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $50.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Levantasoft Systems LLC from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access at any time, with or without notice. Sections 5, 8, 10, 11, 12, 15, and 16 survive termination.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Oakland County, Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
16. Miscellaneous
Severability. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Levantasoft Systems LLC regarding the Service.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
